Support Worker within Learning Disability Services

LOCATION: York

Shifts - Monday - Friday: 06:15-09:30 & 14:30-19:30 & School Holiday: 08:00-20:00 - flexible and available to work across a variety of shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.

We’re looking for Support Workers within Learning Disability Services who are committed to making a real difference—people who truly care and want to build long-term partnerships with those they support.

This isn’t just a job; it’s an opportunity to empower an individual with Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome, ADHD, and generalised anxiety disorder to live a safe, fulfilled life. You’ll help clients achieve personal goals, explore new hobbies, and enjoy trips into the community—all while creating relationships that bring lasting satisfaction for both you and them.

You will be supporting a non-verbal child with autism and ADHD as well as complex medical needs associated with epilepsy. You will work in a 2:1 setting with another support worker to be proactive and responsive to ensure the client's safety is maintained. Shifts are physically active and will involve being out in the community with the client on walks and various activities. We need you to be confident and calm & support regulation and safety. Clear structure and routine is crucial in this role and on your shifts.
