Are you a dedicated care professional ready to take the next step in leadership? We’re looking for a Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our specialist care team supporting a young male with a learning disability, behaviour support needs and health/medical needs. This is more than a job, it’s a chance to make a lasting impact on someone’s life while guiding a team to deliver exceptional, person-centred care.
As the Team Leader you will work under the guidance of the Clinical Lead to lead and inspire a team of support workers across all shift patterns, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, and person-centered care as per the care plan. You will support with training, supervisions, documentation audits, and incident management. We\’re looking for someone to foster a positive team culture, acting as a role model, promoting professionalism, empathy and consistency. You will also liaise regularly with the young man’s family to support holistic person-centered care.

Everyday you will…
- Guide the team in understanding the young man’s behaviours, triggers, and care needs
- Conduct dynamic risk assessments and implement de-escalation strategies
- Lead shift handovers, team meetings, and monthly supervisions
- Ensure accurate documentation and timely incident reporting
- Liaise with family members, Clinical Lead, and other stakeholders
- Monitor and manage stock levels (PPE, medication, documentation)
- Promote adherence to health goals, including weight management and activity planning

To thrive in this role, you must have…
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification)
- Experience in community-based care and team leadership
- Knowledge and experience of supporting individuals with a learning disability
- Knowledge and experience of supporting individuals with autism
- Experience working with vulnerable adults
- Strong communication, organisation, and conflict resolution skills
- A flexible, reliable, and compassionate approach
- Confidence in managing incidents and supporting staff development
