Learning Disabilities Healthcare Support Worker

Location: Bury St Edmunds

Shifts: Weekdays 1000 – 1800 / Weekends 0800 – 1600

Pay Rates (including holiday pay): Days £16.81 / Weekends £21.01

We are looking to recruitlearning disabilities support workers in Bury St Edmunds with UK-based learning disabilities care experience to work with our active client in the community. You can expect to be visiting theme parks, fun fairs, going on beach outings, and pier day trips. The client also enjoys swimming, workers are encouraged to join in when appropriate. This is a busy role and our client will need you to be confident by nature as well as embracing their way of life.

As this role is community based and our client enjoys accessing lots of varied days out, we require drivers with their own vehicle for this role.

Role requirements

We look for learning disabilities support workerswith a minimum of 12 months of UK-based experience who are passionate, resilient and highly skilled. In order to be considered for this role we require the following key skills:

  • Experience and confidence in performing physical interventions (restraints) in the last two years
  • Experience supporting clients with learning disabilities and autism.
  • 12 months UK work experience within a relevant support worker role
