Relais & Chateau at Thornbury Castle are seeking a Bartender to join our professional and hard working team. Someone who has the passion to deliver a truly memorable and impressive experience for our guests. You will be working in a unique and beautifully restored Castle, creating 5* experiences for our guests.
About Us
Set on 15 acres of beautiful land, Thornbury Castle Hotel is the only Tudor Castle operating as a hotel in England. The Castle has undergone a multi-million pound refurbishment program bringing back to life the regal grandeur of its past. Located 20 minutes’ drive from Bristol, it offers 26 rooms and suites, an award-winning restaurant, bar and two unique meeting and conference spaces. Our company goal is to deliver "refined and personalised hospitality" to enable our hotel to be a place where all guests can relax, enjoy themselves and have a break from normal life. Job Description
- £12.71 per hour
- Full time position, 40 hours per week, mainly evening shifts and weekends
- Additional share of the service charge and tips every month
- Greet guests, take orders and serve food and drinks
- Answer all queries about the menu including drinks and make suggestions
- Take ownership of guest’s requirements and food allergies
- Set up the dining areas and process charges and payments
- Effectively communicate with managers and all colleagues
- Follow Health and Safety and Food Safety procedures
Qualifications
- Experienced bartender
- Knowledge of traditional cocktails and spirits
- Experience with handling guest queries and complaints
- Natural passion and flair for the industry and food
- A calm mature approach
- Ambition to succeed at the highest levels
- Dedicated team player with strong communication skills
- Ability to work unsupervised using own initiative when needed
- Willing to learn new things
