We’re currently looking for a Stores & Configuration Support Assistant to join our team. This is a hands‑on, varied role, ideal for someone who is highly organised, proactive, and IT‑literate, with an interest in how technology assets are managed in secure environments. You’ll play a key part in maintaining accurate asset records, supporting configuration control, and ensuring IT equipment is handled, tracked, and stored correctly across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Update and maintain the Asset Register
- Track and manage the movement of IT equipment
- Keep stores organised, compliant, and secure
- Monitor stock levels and manage goods inwards and outwards
- Support the secure disposal of assets and assist with commissioning and decommissioning hardware and software
- Conduct asset audits across multiple sites
- Produce reports and maintain accurate documentation
- Prepare IT kits for projects and deployments
- Assist with PAT testing (full training provided)
- Escort visitors in secure environments
- Escalate issues to the Team Leader when required
- Follow defined procedures accurately and consistently
Physical Requirements
- Lift and carry IT equipment, including between floors and on stairs
- Work safely in confined or restricted spaces
Who We’re Looking For
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Computer literate, with confidence using systems, databases, and standard office software
- Comfortable handling IT hardware and equipment
- A clear communicator who follows processes accurately
- Eligible to maintain a high level of security clearance
- In possession of a full UK driving licence and eligible for the company vehicle insurance policy (drivers must be 21 or over)
- Interested in IT or with previous IT‑related experience (beneficial but not essential)
