Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are looking for an experienced Forklift Truck Driver to work for a well-established manufacturing business based in Leicestershire. This is expected to be a temp to perm position.
The Job: They are looking for a skilled and reliable Forklift Driver to join their team. You will be responsible for operating a forklift to move materials, load and unload trucks. You will have a number of other tasks and responsibilities to adhere to. At the start, you will be required to undergo training to get up to speed. This will be paid at a lower rate. Once you are signed off, you will move to their 4 on 4 off shift pattern. This is 2 day shifts 0600:1800 and then 2 night shifts 1800:0600. Once you are on this shift, you will receive a 25% shift allowance.
The Person: You must have valid forklift certificates - operating either a Counterbalance, Reach or Clamp truck. You must have proven experience of operating a forklift truck in a fast-paced warehouse or manufacturing environment. Have basic IT skills to operate hand scanners and internal computer system. Happy to work 4 on 4 off shift pattern especially as this is 2 shifts on days then moving to 2 shifts on nights. Access to own transport due to lack of public transport at certain shift times.
