Job OverviewJoin our site team as a Labourer on a commercial strip‑out contract in Oxford. Over the next two weeks, you’ll be responsible for safely dismantling and clearing existing fixtures, finishes, and non‑structural elements to prepare the space for refurbishment.
Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesExecute strip‑out works including removal of ceilings, partition walls, flooring, fixtures, and fittings
Safely handle and dispose of waste materials in line with site and environmental regulations
Operate manual and small plant equipment (hand tools, crowbars, small breakers) under supervision
Load, unload, and transport debris and materials to designated waste chutes or skips
Assist with basic demolition tasks such as boxing off services and making safe live services prior to strip‑out
Keep work areas tidy and hazard‑free, performing regular site clean‑ups
Collaborate with site supervisors and follow all health & safety procedures, including correct use of PPE
Report any hazards, structural concerns, or material shortages immediately
RequirementsPrevious experience in strip‑out, demolition, or general site labouring preferred
Valid CSCS card (or equivalent) highly desirable
Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks over extended hours
Own PPE (safety boots, hard hat, hi‑vis vest, gloves)
Punctual, reliable, and able to follow instructions accurately
Strong work ethic and ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
