The Role
As an Estimator, you will play a key role in securing new business by producing accurate and competitive cost estimates across a wide variety of construction projects. You will work closely with the pre-construction, commercial, and operational teams to ensure robust and commercially viable submissions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions
- Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
- Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Identify project risks, opportunities, and value engineering options
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop winning bid strategies
- Attend site visits and pre-tender meetings as required
- Ensure all estimates align with company procedures and client requirements
About You
- Proven experience as an Estimator within the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of building methods, materials, and regulations
- Experience working on projects such as refurbishment, fit-out, or new build
- Commercially astute with excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage multiple tenders
