We are looking to recruit a reliable, hard-working, flexible shot-blaster with a proven track record of producing work to a very high standard to join our highly successful sheet metal fabrication client in the Lenton area of Nottingham.

About the Client:

Our client is a well-known sheet metal fabrication manufacturer based in the heart of Nottingham. The company is looking for the next generation, offering a temporary to permanent career opportunity, with the opportunity for progression within the company.

Job Role:

Shot blasting

Pay and Benefits:

£13.00 – £14.00 per hour

Working Hours:

  • 7 am – 3:30 pm
  • Monday to Friday

Responsibilities:

  • Load parts into the shot blasting room.
  • Keep the shot blasting room fully operational, ensuring extractors, doors and other equipment are working correctly.
  • Operate shot blasting equipment to clean, smooth, or shape surfaces
  • Capable of working with specific instructions and health and safety requirements.
  • Review the finished workpieces to ensure quality requirements are adhered to, including the removal of dust.
  • Lifting heavy parts
  • Working within a dusty environment

Must have Qualifications/Experience:

  • Ability to work in a dusty environment
  • Ability to work on your own initiative.
  • Attention to detail
  • 1 year of experience in shot/sand blasting
  • Previous knowledge of working alongside or in a manufacturing environment
