Thorn Baker Construction are seeking a motivated Assistant Site Manager to support the delivery of high-quality residential projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to step up or further develop their career within a growing and forward-thinking construction company. You’ll work closely with the Site Manager to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the day-to-day running of residential construction sites
  • Support the Site Manager in coordinating subcontractors and trades
  • Monitor site progress and help maintain build programmes
  • Ensure health & safety standards are upheld at all times
  • Carry out site inspections, snagging, and quality checks
  • Help manage site documentation and reporting
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and professional site

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in a construction or site-based role (Assistant Site Manager, Finishing Foreman, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of residential construction processes
  • Good organisational and communication skills
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work well within a team and take direction

Essential:

  • CSCS Card
  • Knowledge of health & safety practices
  • SMSTS or SSSTS
  • First Aid qualification
  • Experience on housing developments
