Overview
We are seeking dedicated and skilled Plastic Extrusion Operatives to join our client`s team in Nottingham. The primary responsibility of the Production Operative will be to operate plastic extrusion and conversion equipment, specifically focusing on polythene lines. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality of output while adhering to all safety and production guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor plastic extrusion and conversion equipment to ensure efficient and high-quality production
- Set up and adjust machine settings to meet specific production requirements
- Conduct regular quality checks on the output to maintain product consistency and adherence to specifications
- Troubleshoot operational issues and perform routine maintenance on equipment as needed
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Communicate effectively with the production team to ensure smooth workflow and timely production schedules
Required Skills & Experience
- A proven track record of operating plastic extrusion OR conversion equipment, with a strong understanding of polythene lines (ESSENTIAL)
- Ability to set up and adjust machine settings to achieve specific production targets
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high product quality
- Prior experience in troubleshooting equipment issues and performing routine maintenance
- Knowledge of safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
