About the Role
Join a forward-thinking homebuilder's expanding timber-frame division focused on sustainable, high-quality off-site manufactured timber-framed homes. You'll play a key role in delivering accurate, buildable timber frame designs that drive both manufacturing and site installation teams.
Your work will be central to the production process - transforming architectural and structural inputs into detailed design outputs that support efficient timber frame manufacture and on-site construction.
The Role
- Produce precise timber frame design drawings and construction information for manufacturing and site teams.
- Interpret architectural and engineering information to create accurate panel, joist and roof truss designs.
- Supply clear design data to planning and scheduling teams to support efficient production programmes.
- Ensure designs align with technical standards, building regulations and warranty requirements (e.g., NHBC).
- Collaborate closely with internal teams - engineering, production, site management - to resolve technical queries and maintain momentum.
- Produce schedules, cutting lists, and detailed design outputs to support manufacturing and delivery.
About You
- Proven experience in timber frame detailing and design, ideally within residential or off-site construction.
- Proficiency with Autodesk platforms (Revit, AutoCAD) or equivalent design software.
- Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and structural principles relevant to timber frame systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines in a dynamic production environment.
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.
