Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are currently recruiting for Warehouse Operatives to join a growing team at a well-established manufacturing and distribution business based in Lutterworth.
Following significant expansion and the relocation of their Head Office and Distribution Centre, our client is building a new warehouse team and is looking for reliable and experienced individuals to join them on a permanent basis.
The Role
As a Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for ensuring workloads are completed safely, efficiently and productively, while supporting the wider warehouse operation.
Duties will include:

Loading and unloading containers and trailers carrying heavy materials

Operating a forklift to move and position materials safely

Using a gantry crane to handle heavy materials

Moving stock around the warehouse

Inspecting stock and reporting any damage

Recording stock movements using a mobile terminal
-
Maintaining a safe, clean and organised working environment
-
Working as part of a new team to achieve departmental and facility objectives
Hours & Salary

Β£30,500 per annum
-
42.5 hours per week

Monday - Friday

Shift pattern: 06:30 - 16:00 or 08:00 - 17:30

The Ideal Candidate
-
Previous warehouse experience
-
Must hold a valid FLT licence
-
Experience operating a forklift in a busy warehouse environment
-
Comfortable handling and moving heavy materials
-
Gantry crane experience would be advantageous
-
Good understanding of health and safety within a warehouse environment
-
Reliable, safety-conscious and able to work effectively as part of a team
