A well-established and respected regional main contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to join its growing North West team. Working across a range of new build and refurbishment projects within sectors such as education, healthcare, commercial and public sector, you'll play a key role in delivering projects safely, on time and to the highest quality standards.

The Role

As Site Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of construction sites, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and within programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all on-site activities from start through to completion.
  • Lead subcontractors and site teams to achieve programme targets.
  • Ensure the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
  • Monitor quality throughout the project to achieve a defect-free handover.
  • Produce and manage short-term programmes.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants and the wider project team.
  • Coordinate site logistics, materials and labour.
  • Maintain accurate site records and provide progress updates to senior management.

About You

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience as a Site Manager with a UK main contractor.
  • Experience delivering new build and refurbishment projects.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • A sound understanding of current Health & Safety legislation.
  • Valid SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications.
  • A proactive attitude and commitment to delivering projects to a high standard.
