Quantity Surveyor - High-End Residential Construction

Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to work on exceptional, high-specification homes and unique construction projects?
We're working with an established and highly regarded chartered building company specialising in the delivery of bespoke, high-end residential projects. With a strong reputation for quality and craftsmanship, they're looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working on complex, high-value projects where attention to detail, commercial awareness and quality are genuinely valued.
The Role
As Quantity Surveyor, you'll be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of projects from pre-construction through to completion, working closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors and the wider project team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the commercial and financial performance of projects
- Preparing and managing project budgets, forecasts and cost plans
- Producing and reviewing valuations, applications for payment and final accounts
- Managing subcontractor procurement and accounts
- Preparing, managing and agreeing variations
- Monitoring project costs and identifying commercial risks
- Assisting with tendering and procurement activities
- Negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers
- Producing regular commercial reports
- Working closely with the Project and Site Management teams
- Maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners
- Ensuring projects are delivered within budget and to the required quality standards
About You
We're looking for a Quantity Surveyor who has experience within construction, ideally with a background in high-end residential, bespoke homes, luxury developments or high-specification building projects.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction
- Strong commercial and financial management skills
- Experience managing subcontractors and supply chain relationships
- Good knowledge of construction contracts, procurement and valuations
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines
- A commercially minded and proactive approach
- Relevant Quantity Surveying or construction-related qualifications are desirable
