We are seeking a meticulous and skilled Paint Sprayer to join our dynamic and diverse team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in preparing, mixing, and applying paint to metal surfaces using spray guns. Responsibilities

  • Prepare a variety of metal surfaces by cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming them for painting.
  • Mix and match paint colours to meet project specifications and ensure consistency throughout the finish.
  • Operate spray guns and other related tools to apply coatings, ensuring an excellent finish.
  • Perform quality checks during and after the spraying process to maintain a high standard of work.
  • Maintain and clean all painting equipment and tools to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet production deadlines.
  • Uphold health and safety standards and follow all workplace policies.
  • Stay updated on the latest techniques, materials, and technologies in paint spraying and surface prep.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in paint spraying, specifically working with metal surfaces.
  • Proficiency in mixing and matching paint colours to achieve the desired results.
  • Familiarity with spray gun operations, as well as maintenance and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Skilled in preparing surfaces for painting (e.g., sanding, masking, priming).
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality finishes.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety protocols related to paint spraying and handling chemicals.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle painting equipment.
  • A team-oriented approach with excellent communication skills.

Day-to-Day

  • Begin the day with a safety briefing and a review of the day’s tasks and deadlines.
  • Prepare metal surfaces using sanding or masking techniques, ensuring precision and readiness for painting.
  • Mix paint colors according to the project requirements, verifying that the correct finish will be achieved.
  • Spray paint on surfaces evenly using a spray gun, ensuring consistency and avoiding defects such as drips, bubbles, or streaks.
  • Inspect finished work for quality assurance and make any necessary touch-ups.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace and perform regular equipment checks.

Hours & Pay

  • Days: 7:00am - 3:30pm (Monday-Thursday) / 7:00am - 2:30pm (Friday) - £13.88 per hour
  • Afternoons: 1:30pm - 10:00pm (Monday-Thursday) / 12:30pm - 8pm (Friday) - £15.87 per hour
  • During training you will be on the day shift, after which you will move onto rotating shifts.
