Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are looking for an experienced Food Production/Bakery Operatives to join a leading food manufacturing company based in Leicestershire
This role will be working directly with our client on a temp to perm contract
The Job:
- Working as a Bakery Operative which means you could be working or trained to work in several areas of their factory
- This can include: mixing and baking cakes, icing cakes and packing the finished products
- Other duties can include:
- Follow work instructions to ensure all cakes meet our quality standards
- Follow the production plan
- Follow Team Leader/ Manager instructions
- Minimise waste whilst working
- Follow H&S guidance
- Report near misses
- Follow Good Manufacturing Processes
- Paperwork completion
- Clean as you go
- There are 2 shifts available based on where needed
- Monday to Friday 6am-3pm
- Monday to Friday 8am-5pm
- Both are 40 hours per week with overtime available when production is very busy and applies after 40 hours
- You will start on National Living Wage but once trained, you will receive an uplift in hourly salary
The person:
- Knowledge of the food industry would be an advantage, but not mandatory
- Positive, flexible and can-do attitude
- Hard working
- All training will be provided
- Have access to transport as there are no public transport for the early shift start times
