Joiner – Exeter
Thorn Baker Construction is currently recruiting for an experienced Joiner to join a busy construction project in Exeter.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and reliable Joiner to work with a reputable contractor on an ongoing project.
The Role
As a Joiner, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of first and second fix carpentry duties, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard.
Typical duties include:
- First and second fix joinery.
- Hanging doors and fitting frames.
- Installing skirting boards, architraves and stair components.
- Fitting kitchens and other timber fixtures where required.
- Reading and interpreting site drawings.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area.
- Working closely with other trades and site management.
Requirements
- Valid CSCS Card.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent) preferred.
- Previous experience working as a Joiner on construction sites.
- Own tools and PPE.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual and committed to producing high-quality workmanship.
- Strong understanding of site health and safety.
