Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are hiring on behalf of a national concrete manufacturer based in Alfreton. This is a full-time, hands-on role in a high-output production environment. Ideal for candidates with experience in concrete production, steel fabrication, or general industrial manufacturing work. Ongoing position with the potential to go permanent with consistent performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate machinery for casting, stripping, and finishing pre-cast concrete products
- Pour, level, and inspect concrete in moulds, following technical drawings and quality standards
- Use hand and power tools for grinding, shaping, and smoothing concrete and steel components
- Fabricate and fit steel or metal inserts as required, interpreting blueprints where needed
- Maintain a clean, safe working environment and support general yard and team tasks
Preferred Experience & Skills
- Experience in concrete production, fabrication, or industrial manufacturing
- Comfortable with manual work and operating tools or machinery
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings
- Overhead crane or FLT experience is an advantage, but not essential
Shift Details
Nights: Sunday to Thursday
Hours: 21:00 – 06:30 (30-minute unpaid break)
Total Weekly Hours: 48
Pay Rates
Hourly Rate: £14.90 + 90p hourly bonus = £15.80 per hour
Overtime Rates from: £20.86+ per hour (as applicable)
