We are working with an established and highly respected construction company specialising in high-end residential projects, bespoke new builds, luxury refurbishments and heritage properties across the Cotswolds and surrounding areas. With an impressive portfolio of individually designed homes, listed properties and substantial country residences, the business has built a strong reputation for delivering exceptional quality and craftsmanship. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of projects, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Senior Site Manager to take responsibility for the successful delivery of high-end residential projects from pre-construction through to completion. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager looking to work on genuinely bespoke projects where quality, attention to detail and client satisfaction are at the heart of the business.
As Senior Site Manager, you will take a lead role in the day-to-day management and delivery of projects, coordinating subcontractors, trades and suppliers while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, to programme and to the highest possible standard. You will work closely with the Project Manager, Contracts Manager, architects, designers, consultants and clients to ensure projects are delivered to the required specification.
Key Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day management of construction sites.
- Lead and coordinate subcontractors, trades and site personnel.
- Plan and manage short-term programmes and ensure works remain on schedule.
- Coordinate labour, materials, plant and site resources.
- Ensure all works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and quality standards.
- Maintain a strong focus on health, safety and environmental requirements.
- Manage site logistics and coordinate multiple trades effectively.
- Liaise with clients, architects, designers, consultants and project teams.
- Monitor workmanship and ensure exceptional quality standards are maintained.
- Identify and resolve technical and construction issues proactively.
- Attend site and progress meetings.
- Maintain accurate site records, reports and documentation.
- Monitor progress against programme and communicate any potential delays.
- Assist with procurement and ensure materials are available when required.
- Manage snagging, finishing works and the successful handover of projects.
- Lead by example and maintain a professional and positive site environment.
About You
The successful candidate will be an experienced Senior Site Manager / Site Manager with a strong background in high-end residential construction. You will ideally have experience delivering:
- Bespoke luxury residential projects
- High-value new builds
- Major refurbishments
- Listed or heritage properties
- Country houses and private residences
- Complex extensions and alterations
You will have excellent technical construction knowledge, strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple trades and stakeholders effectively. Most importantly, you will take genuine pride in the quality of your work and have a strong eye for detail and exceptional standards of workmanship.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager or Senior Site Manager.
- Strong experience within high-end residential construction.
- Excellent knowledge of construction processes and sequencing.
- Strong subcontractor and trade management experience.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong understanding of health & safety requirements.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- SMSTS.
- CSCS.
- First Aid.
- Full UK driving licence.
