Pay: £17 per hour (Saturday: £20/hr, Sunday: £25/hr)

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm (occasional weekend work available)

About the Role:

Thorn Baker are working with a small, independent company based in Sheepbridge who are looking for an experienced TIG Welder / Fabricator to join their close-knit team. This is a hands-on role involving high-quality fabrication, primarily in stainless steel, for the food production industry. You'll work both in the workshop and occasionally on customer sites, installing bespoke food production areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • TIG welding and fabricating to a high standard, mainly in stainless steel
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings
  • Cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components
  • Carrying out off-site installation work as required
  • Ensuring work meets industry standards for hygiene and finish in food production environments
  • Working safely in line with company policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Proven TIG welding and fabrication experience
  • Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
  • Experience working with stainless steel, ideally for food industry applications
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Willingness to work occasional weekends if required
