Project Overview
This project is looking for a hands-on site manager to work alongside the Construction Director to deliver a new 6-storey development comprising 207 student accommodation units, scheduled to open in September 2027.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced (Hands On) Site Manager that is keen to work on the developer side to take full ownership of the external package of works on this exciting new development. This includes substructure, superstructure (LGSF), façades (masonry), fenestration, roofing, and all external works. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a hands-on development team delivering a fast-paced, high-quality scheme.

- A Construction Director overseeing programme, development, and commercial aspects
Key Responsibilities
- Inducting new contractors onto site
- Ensuring full compliance with CDM 2015 regulations
- Managing site logistics and coordination
- Participating in design team meetings and identifying design issues
- Monitoring progress against the construction programme
- Coordinating trades on site, issuing and documenting clear instructions
- Attending progress meetings and setting achievable milestones
- Taking proactive action to maintain programme timelines
- Conducting QA audits using Viewpoint
- Working closely with the operations team to ensure a smooth handover
- Reporting progress to the Construction Director, including daily site photography
- Snagging contractor works and compiling defect lists
About You
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on similar large-scale construction projects
- Strong knowledge of substructure, superstructure, and external works packages
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple trades and maintain programme deadlines
- Thorough understanding of health & safety regulations, particularly CDM 2015
- Proactive, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving abilities
