About the Role
Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced B1 Counterbalance Forklift Truck Driver to join a long-established industrial manufacturer in North Derbyshire.

- Physically demanding role within a specialist industrial recycling environment.
- Hot and dusty working environment.
- Full PPE and specialist respiratory protection required and provided.
- Successful applicants will be required to complete a blood test as part of the induction, followed by regular occupational health monitoring.
- A full site tour must be attended prior to starting to see the working environment first-hand.
- Two x 1-hour breaks during the shift, with workers required to shower and change PPE during each break.
- PPE and laundry facilities provided on site.
The Role
- Operating a B1 Counterbalance Forklift Truck to safely move raw materials, finished products and waste materials around the site.
- Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Supplying production areas with materials to ensure the manufacturing process runs smoothly.
- Stacking and transporting products within warehouse and production areas.
- Carrying out daily pre-use checks and reporting any defects.
- Working safely around heavy machinery, production operatives and other site vehicles.
- Maintaining high housekeeping standards and following all Health & Safety procedures.
A valid B1 Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence and previous Counterbalance FLT experience are essential.
