Overview
We are searching for a detail-oriented and skilled Print Assistant to join our printing team. The Print Assistant will be responsible for ensuring the quality and timely completion of print materials using various printing equipment and techniques.
Responsibilities
- Operating and maintaining print presses and equipment such as Komori presses (5 & 6 colour) and die cutting machines
- Monitoring print quality and making adjustments as needed to ensure high standards are met
- Assisting with the preparation of materials for printing, including setting up press and mixing inks
- Performing routine maintenance on printing equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Troubleshooting issues that arise during the printing process and making necessary adjustments
- Following safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications
- Proficiency in operating print presses and other printing equipment, with specific experience in Komori presses and die cutting preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards
- Knowledge of colour theory, ink mixing, and print materials
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work area
Day-to-day
The Print Assistant will spend their days operating and maintaining print presses, monitoring print quality, assisting with print material preparation, and troubleshooting equipment issues. They will work closely with the printing team to ensure that all print materials meet quality standards and are completed on time.
The shift times are 06:00-13:30 week1, 13:30-21:00 week2 & 21:00-06:00 week3 on a weekly rotating basis.The starting pay rate is £14-14.5/h (depending on skills & experience).If you think you`re the right person for the role, please apply now!!
