Overview

We are seeking dedicated and skilled Plastic Extrusion Operators to join our client`s team in Nottingham. The primary responsibility of the Plastic Extrusion Operator will be to operate plastic extrusion and conversion equipment, specifically focusing on polythene lines. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality of output while adhering to all safety and production guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor plastic extrusion and conversion equipment to ensure efficient and high-quality production
  • Set up and adjust machine settings to meet specific production requirements
  • Conduct regular quality checks on the output to maintain product consistency and adherence to specifications
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and perform routine maintenance on equipment as needed
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Communicate effectively with the production team to ensure smooth workflow and timely production schedules

Required Skills & Experience

  • A proven track record of operating plastic extrusion OR conversion equipment, with a strong understanding of polythene lines (ESSENTIAL)
  • Ability to set up and adjust machine settings to achieve specific production targets
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high product quality
  • Prior experience in troubleshooting equipment issues and performing routine maintenance
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Day-to-day

  • Operating plastic extrusion and conversion equipment
  • Adjusting machine settings to meet production requirements
  • Performing quality checks and troubleshooting operational issues
