Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are looking to recruit a HR Business Partner to work for a globally known and well-established manufacturer in Nottingham. PLEASE NOTE - THIS IS A TEMPORARY TO PERMANENT ROLE!

Job Scope:
To support the business by delivering a highly effective HR business partnering service. To plan, implement and evaluate the company's HR strategies to ensure these initiatives are aligned to support the business objectives and support a designated geographic area. You will also be required to attend quarterly meetings at any one of their sites, so this could be in Nottingham, Birmingham, London, Thornbury or Caphilly.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage the provision of day to day HR advice to employees and line managers in keeping with current legislation and best practice.
- Support and coach line managers to ensure they are effective within their line management role.
- Manage the process with regards to any ER issues as they develop, including any disciplinary, grievance and absence issues.
- Work with HR colleagues to manage the implementation of local engagement strategies.
- Work closely with line managers to determine the most appropriate means to ensure full departmental manning.
- Manage the recruitment processes as necessary to ensure skills gaps and departmental requirements are met effectively.
- Identify where improvements to procedures/processes will improve the smooth running of the department.
- Support L&D implementation, including delivery of key training sessions where required.
- Complete forms and processes accurately and timely to ensure that the HR system data is accurate.
- Work with the HR Shared Service Centre to ensure all HR administration processes are processed appropriately.
- Support continuous improvements to HR policies, processes, letters, templates and forms.
- Prepare monthly and ad hoc management information reports.
- Any other reasonable duties as requested.
Health & Safety Responsibilities:
- To work in line with duty of care to self/others and ensure Health & Safety guidelines are followed.
- To protect the health and safety of visitors / contractors / external providers brought to site.
- Comply with any local PPE requirements.
Environmental Responsibilities:
- To work in line with Environmental & energy policies.
- To ensure visitors / contractors / external providers meet relevant environmental procedures while on site.
What we need from you:
- Significant experience of working within a customer facing HR role or environment.
- CIPD qualification would be desirable.
- Experience of operating at a similar level as a HRBP or Senior HR Advisor.
- Strong knowledge of current employment legislation.
- An organised approach to work with a multitude of managers from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent communication skills, approachable and good at forming relationships.
- Flexible with an ability to prioritise own workload within a busy environment.
- Strong attention to detail with an ability to multi-task.
- PC literate and comfortable using different applications.
