Overview:
Our client, a well-established wet wipe manufacturer based in Somerset, is looking to expand their engineering team with the addition of an additional Mechanical Engineer on their Night shift
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a wide range of converting and packaging machinery in a busy FMCG production environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform reactive and planned preventative maintenance across site equipment

Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults

Source and replace spare parts as needed

Support continuous improvement projects on existing and new machinery

Ensure all work complies with safety and quality standards
Requirements:
-
Previous experience as a Multi-Skilled Engineer within FMCG, manufacturing, or a similar environment

Strong mechanical background with some electrical knowledge
-
Recognised engineering qualification (HNC, NVQ, or equivalent)
-
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (mechanical and electrical)
-
Familiarity with pneumatics and PLCs
-
Knowledge of CAD systems is a plus

Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude

Excellent communication and teamwork skills
