Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment is looking for a Machine Operative to join a busy manufacturing business in Huthwaite. This is a full-time opportunity with full training provided, making it ideal for someone who is reliable, motivated and looking to develop their skills within a production environment.

The Role

  • Setting up and operating production machinery
  • Learning basic machine programming and adjustments
  • Monitoring production processes and carrying out quality checks
  • Accurately reading and using a tape measure to ensure products meet specification
  • Recording measurements and production information
  • Keeping your work area clean, organised and safe
  • Following all health and safety procedures and wearing the required PPE at all times

About You

  • Has good numeracy skills and is confident reading a tape measure
  • Has excellent attention to detail
  • Is reliable, punctual and eager to learn
  • Works well independently and as part of a team
  • Is happy to wear the required PPE, including safety boots, a hairnet and a beard snood (where applicable)
  • Has previous manufacturing or machine operating experience (desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided)
  • Holds an FLT licence (advantageous but not required)
