Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment is looking for a Machine Operative to join a busy manufacturing business in Huthwaite. This is a full-time opportunity with full training provided, making it ideal for someone who is reliable, motivated and looking to develop their skills within a production environment.
The Role
- Setting up and operating production machinery
- Learning basic machine programming and adjustments
- Monitoring production processes and carrying out quality checks
- Accurately reading and using a tape measure to ensure products meet specification
- Recording measurements and production information
- Keeping your work area clean, organised and safe
- Following all health and safety procedures and wearing the required PPE at all times
About You
- Has good numeracy skills and is confident reading a tape measure
- Has excellent attention to detail
- Is reliable, punctual and eager to learn
- Works well independently and as part of a team
- Is happy to wear the required PPE, including safety boots, a hairnet and a beard snood (where applicable)
- Has previous manufacturing or machine operating experience (desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided)
- Holds an FLT licence (advantageous but not required)
