The Role

As a CNC Miller, you will be responsible for setting, operating, and programming CNC milling machines to produce precision components to tight tolerances. You will work from engineering drawings and ensure all parts meet quality standards.

£44,033.60 - £50,694.80 starting salary

Working 4x 11 hour night shifts

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC milling machines to manufacture precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Interpret technical drawings, CAD models, and job documentation to determine tooling, machining methods, and setup requirements.
  • Machine components to tight tolerances while maintaining high-quality surface finishes.
  • Ensure all work meets quality standards and customer requirements before release.
  • Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to optimize cycle times and efficiency.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and report faults or tooling issues promptly.

About You

  • Proven experience as a CNC Miller.
  • Ability to set and operate independently (programming experience desirable).
  • Experience working with a variety of materials.
  • Experience using measuring tools such as micrometers, verniers etc.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Apprentice-trained or time-served.
