We are seeking a skilled and motivated Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join our client's dynamic team in Nottingham. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to be part of an inclusive workplace. As a Counterbalance Forklift Driver, you'll play a key role in maintaining smooth warehouse operations while upholding our company values of diversity, equality, and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a counterbalance forklift to move, load, and unload goods in the warehouse.
- Perform general warehouse duties, including sorting, packing, and quality control of products.
- Adhere strictly to company safety standards and protocols during forklift operation and warehouse tasks.
- Conduct routine checks and maintenance of the forklift to ensure its operational safety.
- Work collaboratively with the warehouse team to meet productivity and delivery deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment within the warehouse.
Qualifications
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck Certificate (ESSENTIAL, Reach license is a bonus).
- Proven experience in warehouse operations as a Forklift Operator.
- Strong understanding of health and safety standards in a logistics environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a warehouse setting.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.

- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects when required.
Day-to-day
- Start your day with a team briefing to outline daily targets and priorities.
- Inspect and operate the forklift truck while ensuring compliance with safety procedures.
- Efficiently load/unload vehicles or pallets and move items within the warehouse.
- Collaborate with warehouse operatives for seamless inventory management and order fulfillment.
- Perform stock checks, assist with inventory control, and report any discrepancies.
- Ensure the workspace and tools are clean, organized, and maintained at all times.
- Other general warehouse duties within the candidate's capability.
The working hours are 6am-2pm Monday to Thursday, 6am-1pm Friday, the basic pay rate is £16.22/h. Saturday overtime is paid on x1.5, Sunday overtime is paid on x2. This is a full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate. If you're interested, please apply now!
