We are seeking a skilled FLT Driver (counterbalance) to join our diverse team. As an FLT Driver, you will play a key role in our warehouse operations, contributing to the efficient movement and organization of goods. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and make a meaningful impact on our logistical processes.
Responsibilities
- Operate counterbalance forklift to safely and efficiently transport goods within the warehouse
- Collaborate with warehouse operatives to perform picking, packing, and stock take tasks
- Assist with loading and unloading delivery vehicles as needed
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and report any maintenance or safety issues
- Additional manufacturing duties within the candidate's capability (full training provided)
- Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a secure work environment
- General housekeeping as you work
Qualifications
- Valid certification and significant experience as a counterbalance forklift driver
- Van driving experience (DESIRABLE)
- Full UK B category driving license with no more than 6 penalty points would be an advantage (no DRs)
- Proficiency in warehouse operations, including picking, packing, and stock take processes
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and diverse team environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues
Day-to-day
As a Counterbalance Forklift Driver, your day-to-day tasks will involve operating the forklift to move goods, collaborating with warehouse colleagues on various tasks, picking/packing and other general warehouse & manufacturing duties, ensuring equipment safety and maintenance, also delivery driving to customers. Your role will play a pivotal part in our logistical operations, contributing to the smooth and efficient functioning of our warehouse and delivery processes.
