Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are looking for a Development Engineer to work for an established POS/POP manufacturer based in Leicester.
This position is a straight permanent position.
The Job:
- Responsible for producing development solutions to support client designs.
- Develop cost effective solutions to suit the most effective route to manufacture.
- Conduct site surveys as and when required.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as planning, workshop, prototype and pre-production to align development activities with sales forecasts, demand planning and budget constraints.
Salary is expected to be £45k but dependent on your experience. 28 days holiday per year plus Christmas shut-down and a day off on your birthday.
About You:
- Ideally, you will have previous experience in a POS or POP manufacturing business.
- Able to use SolidWorks and MS Office software.
- Ability to think laterally, create solutions to a given design brief.
- Be pro-active, inquisitive and challenging.
- Self motivated and able to manage projects from brief through to production.
- Ability to multi-task between multiple projects.
- Capable of preparing drawings and planograms.
- Sustainability to be front of mind when developing solutions.
