Days Operator / Counterbalance FLT Driver

Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are recruiting for a Days Operator / Counterbalance FLT Driver to join a busy industrial recycling site in North Derbyshire.
This is a multi-skilled industrial role involving battery sorting, recycling, production, materials handling and Counterbalance FLT operation.
Please note: this is NOT a full-time FLT driving role. The main duties involve sorting and auditing batteries on a conveyor, with Counterbalance FLT driving as part of the wider role.
The Role
Sorting and auditing batteries on a conveyor
Battery recycling and production duties
Operating B1 Counterbalance FLT when required
Loading and unloading vehicles
Moving materials around site
General warehouse, production and industrial duties
Working across different areas of the site
Carrying out equipment/pre-use checks
Following Health & Safety procedures
Maintaining good housekeeping
Requirements
Valid B1 Counterbalance FLT licence – essential
Previous Counterbalance FLT experience – essential
Experience in warehouse, production, manufacturing, recycling, waste, materials handling or industrial environments
Comfortable working in a hot, dusty and physically demanding environment
Comfortable with standing and repetitive sorting work
Flexible and willing to work across different areas
Reliable with a good attitude
Good Health & Safety awareness
Working Environment
This is a heavy industrial recycling environment involving battery processing and production.
The role can be hot, dusty and physically demanding. Full PPE and specialist respiratory protection are provided.
A site tour and blood test form part of the onboarding process, with ongoing occupational health monitoring.
