Bench Hand Joiners needed in Narborough LE19, Leicester - Day and Night shifts available.

Location: LE19 Narborough, Leicester

Salary: £16.00 per hour - Days & £17.00 per hour - Nights

Hours: Monday to Friday

  • DAYS 06:00-18:00 hours are flexible - can also work 06:00-16:00.
  • NIGHTS 18:00-06:00 or 20:00-06:00
  • Saturday and Sunday overtime available every week

Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are currently looking for a Bench Hand Joiners to join a well-established company based in Narborough, Leicester. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous Bench Joining experience to join a friendly and growing team.

The Role:

  • Working to production schedules
  • Interpreting technical plans and diagrams
  • Estimating the materials needed for a job and producing cutting lists
  • Selecting wood that’s suitable for a particular job
  • Measuring timber and marking it up ahead of cutting
  • Cutting timber to required dimensions
  • Using hand and power tools safely and efficiently
  • Assembling timber structures in a workshop, such as window and door frames
  • Conducting quality checks and reporting to senior staff

About You:

  • Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and joinery cutting lists.
  • Attention to detail and precision in craftsmanship
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and time management skills
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Working knowledge of different woodworking tools and machinery
  • Knowledge of health and safety requirements and regulations
