B2 Counterbalance FLT Driver – Yard Operative
Darley Dale, Matlock | £15.37 per hour | Monday–Friday
Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced B2 Counterbalance Forklift Truck Driver to join a busy heavy industrial recycling facility in Darley Dale, Matlock.
This is a hands-on yard-based FLT role, loading bundles of ingots safely and efficiently onto HGVs, flatbed vehicles and containers.
The Role
As a B2 Counterbalance FLT Driver, your main responsibilities will include:
- Operating a B2 Counterbalance Forklift Truck within the yard
- Loading bundles of ingots onto HGVs, flatbeds and containers
- Safely positioning materials for loading
- Moving materials around the yard as required
- Following site safety procedures and working safely around vehicles and other site operations
- Carrying out daily checks of the FLT and reporting any issues
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working area
Hours
Monday–Friday: 07:30–16:00
- 40 hours per week
The role is based within a heavy industrial recycling facility, so you must be comfortable working in a busy industrial yard and wearing full PPE throughout your shift, including:
- Respirator mask
- Overalls
- Protective gloves
- Ear protection
- Safety glasses
Full PPE will be provided.
We're looking for someone who:
- Holds a valid B2 Counterbalance FLT licence – essential
- Has previous Counterbalance FLT experience
- Ideally has experience loading HGVs, flatbeds or containers
- Is confident working within a busy yard environment
- Has a strong understanding of workplace health & safety
- Is reliable, hardworking and takes pride in their work
