In-Store Cleaning Manager

Shift: 5:00am - 12:00pm
Pay: £13.75 per hour

We are looking for an experienced and reliable In-Store Cleaning Manager to manage the cleaning operation within a busy retail store in Nottingham.
We have opportunities available at two locations - Kimberley and Castle Boulevard.
This is a hands-on management role where you will be responsible for leading a team of 6 cleaners, ensuring the store is cleaned to a consistently high standard and that the team operates efficiently each day.
The Role
As the In-Store Cleaning Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the cleaning team within the store.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and supervising a team of 6 cleaners
- Organising daily cleaning duties and ensuring all areas are covered
- Checking cleaning standards and carrying out regular quality checks
- Ensuring the store is cleaned and ready to a high standard
- Managing staff attendance, performance and standards
- Supporting with training and onboarding new team members
- Organising holiday and sickness cover
- Ensuring cleaning products and equipment are available
- Reporting any maintenance or cleaning issues to the relevant teams
- Maintaining good communication with store management
- Ensuring company health & safety procedures are followed
- Completing cleaning schedules, checks and relevant paperwork
- Leading by example and supporting the team with cleaning when required
About You
We're looking for someone who is reliable, organised and confident managing a small team.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in cleaning supervision, cleaning management, housekeeping or a similar role
- Experience managing or leading a small team
- Good communication and people-management skills
- High standards and excellent attention to detail
- A proactive approach and the ability to work independently
- The confidence to deal with store management and staff
- Good organisational and time-management skills
- A hands-on approach - you're happy to get involved and lead from the front
Previous retail or commercial cleaning experience is desirable but not essential for the right candidate.
