Thorn Baker are looking for a talented, motivated and experienced setter to join our clients growing team and help them deliver high quality plastic components to their customers worldwide. As an injection moulding setter, you will play a pivotal part by performing efficient tool changes, setting state of the art machines and working with their internal customers. This is a hands-on role where you'll lead by example.
Working Hours: (Alternating Weeks) Monday to Thursday 22:00pm - 6:00am, Friday 20:00pm - 3:00am

About the Company: Our client is an international manufacturing company, who have significant global presence. They have 500 retail stores worldwide and they also have a strong online presence. They are one of the biggest Video game and Board games makers and producers on the globe!
Your Responsibilities:
- Carry out all necessary tool, material and colour changes within an injection moulding environment
- You must be confident on machines from 50T to 320T with a keen eye for quality and solving problems that may arise.
- Recommend modifications or improvements to increase productivity and quality
- Ensure full compliance with all company SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
- Be flexible enough to assist colleagues and take on tasks that may not be part of your day-to-day activities.
- Ensure all production, QMS data and visual standards are maintained and up to date.
Requirements:
- Experienced at setter level or equivalent within the injection moulding environment
- A minimum of 2 years in the injection moulding industry.
- Experience working with Arburg machines and injection blow moulding.
- A can-do attitude, approachable and a strong team player & able to work calm under pressure.
- Able to effectively set up all approved production tools to the correct setting conditions and production work instructions.
- Problem solving techniques within injection moulding.
