Thorn Baker is working with a Contract Cleaning SME to resource a Business Development Manager in the North of the UK. While it is not essential to have a background in the Contract Cleaning sector, experience in a similar industry, including Facilities Management, is essential.

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Business Development Executive to:

  • Generate qualified sales opportunities and secure new business appointments.
  • Support the continued growth of the organisation.
  • Research target markets and engage key decision-makers.
  • Develop strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.
  • Create tailored proposals, quotations, and tender responses that deliver value for clients.

You will work closely with the wider sales and marketing teams to contribute to our annual new-business sales target.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research target markets and identify high-priority, qualified sales leads.
  • Arrange and attend new-business appointments, supporting other business development executives where required.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities to support the annual new-sales target.
  • Engage with key decision-makers to identify emerging opportunities.
  • Network effectively through face-to-face events.
