Are you a seasoned construction professional with strong commercial and delivery experience, seeking a leadership role within a Small Works division that specialises in delivering a varied portfolio of smaller-scale but often technically challenging projects? We’re looking for a practical, organised, and client-focused Project Manager to drive project success and uphold the quality and reputation of a dedicated Small Works team.
The Small Works team specialise in delivering projects that are typically smaller in value than major programme work, but highly varied in type and complexity. These range from extensions, refurbishments and utility upgrades to specialised fit-outs and phased works, often delivered through repeat business with established clients. Projects may involve multi-discipline coordination, phased delivery and close client interaction — providing a dynamic and highly rewarding working environment.
As a Project Manager in this division, you will be responsible for the overall performance and successful delivery of allocated projects, ensuring compliance, commercial performance and on-site excellence.
The Role- Lead and manage the delivery of Small Works projects from mobilisation through to completion
- Develop and manage construction phase Health & Safety plans
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor quality, site progress, welfare and safety performance
- Lead project meetings and coordinate with design teams, subcontractors and supply chain
- Oversee cost control and commercial management across multiple simultaneous contracts
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Support post-completion processes, continuous improvement and team coaching
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
- A minimum of 8 years’ industry experience with strong project delivery
- Proven experience in managing multiple projects concurrently, ideally across refurbishment, extensions or specialist works
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, both with clients and project teams
- A proactive, solution-focused mindset with an ability to work autonomously and influence
