Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Welfare Operative, Industrial Cleaner or Hygiene Operative to join a busy heavy industrial recycling facility in Darley Dale. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity offering excellent pay and long-term career prospects.

The Role

  • You'll be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the site's welfare facilities.
  • Duties include:
    • Washing and laundering workwear
    • Cleaning respirator masks
    • Cleaning canteens, toilets, showers and changing rooms
    • Emptying bins and disposing of waste
    • Maintaining clean and hygienic welfare facilities
    • Following Health & Safety procedures at all times

Hours

Continental 4 on / 4 off shift pattern: 2 Days: 06:00-18:00, 2 Nights: 18:00-06:00, 4 Days Off

Working Environment

This role is based within a heavy industrial recycling facility. You will be working in a hot, dusty environment and must wear full PPE, including respirator mask, hard hat, overalls, gloves, ear protection and safety glasses. A blood test will be completed on your first day, followed by regular occupational health monitoring.

We're looking for someone who

  • Has previous industrial cleaning, hygiene, housekeeping or welfare experience
  • Is reliable, hardworking and takes pride in maintaining high standards
  • Is comfortable working within a heavy industrial environment
  • Holds a full UK driving licence and has their own transport
