We’re seeking an Estimator to join a well-established main contractor specialising in social housing projects (both new build and refurbishment). With secured work across South Wales for 2026, this is a great opportunity to work on larger-scale developments.
Role Overview
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for tenders and live projects
- Analyse drawings, specifications, and project documents for labour, materials, and subcontractor services
- Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers
- Produce professional tender submissions and ensure timely delivery
- Conduct post-project cost analysis, reporting variances to management
- Support directors, site teams, and commercial colleagues when required
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in estimating, ideally within social housing (new build & refurbishment)
- Relevant qualification (HNC/Diploma/Degree in Construction or related discipline)
- Strong MS Office skills, with excellent literacy and attention to detail
- Ability to interpret architectural and M&E drawings
- Self-motivated, organised, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
