This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Industrial Sewing Machinist or Sewing Machinist looking for a long-term role with the opportunity to secure a permanent position following a successful temporary period.
Duties of the Industrial Sewing Machinist:
- Operating industrial sewing machines within a busy manufacturing environment
- Manufacturing lifting slings, ratchet straps and webbing products to customer specifications
- Using automatic and industrial sewing machines to produce high-quality products
- Measuring, preparing and assembling materials for production
- Following production instructions and manufacturing processes
- Carrying out quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process
- Quality checking finished products to ensure high standards are maintained
- Picking, packing and preparing completed products for dispatch
- General housekeeping and maintaining a clean, organised work area
- Supporting the wider production and manufacturing team as required
Requirements:
- Previous experience operating industrial sewing machines within a manufacturing environment is essential
- Experience as an Industrial Sewing Machinist, Sewing Machinist, Production Operative or Manufacturing Operative would be advantageous
- Experience using walking foot sewing machines would be beneficial
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to follow instructions and work to production targets
