Overview
We are recruiting an Area Cleaning Manager to oversee a portfolio of 28 retail cleaning contracts across Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, and the East Coast. The successful candidate will build strong client relationships, lead operational teams, and drive consistently high service standards.

Responsibilities
- Full responsibility for contract performance, ensuring SLA and KPI targets are consistently achieved
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships across your portfolio
- Managing cleaning teams and supervisors to ensure exceptional service delivery
- Conducting regular site visits, audits, and quality inspections
- Recruiting, training, developing, and retaining cleaning operatives
- Managing labour budgets, rotas, and operational performance
- Handling client queries and resolving issues promptly and professionally
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and health & safety requirements
- Supporting the mobilisation of new contracts as the business continues to grow
- Working closely with senior management to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Previous experience managing multiple cleaning contracts within a commercial or retail environment
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent client relationship management experience
- Organised, proactive, and capable of managing a geographically spread portfolio
- Strong understanding of service delivery, KPIs, and operational performance
- Full UK driving licence
- Ideally based within the Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, or East Coast region
- Passion for delivering high standards and developing successful teams
Location
Derbyshire, Lincolnshire & East Coast. Applicants should ideally be based within the region to manage the portfolio and allow for regular travel between sites.
