Thorn Baker and working with a Contract Cleaning SME to resource a Business Development Manager in the North of the UK. Whilst it is not essential to have a background of working within the Contract Cleaning sector, a like for like industry is essential, including Facilities Management. We are looking for an experienced and proactive Business Development Executive to generate qualified sales opportunities, secure new business appointments and support the continued growth of the organisation. You will research target markets, engage key decision-makers and develop strong relationships with prospective and existing clients. Working closely with the wider sales and marketing teams, you will also create tailored proposals, quotations and tender responses that deliver value for clients and contribute to our annual new-business sales target. Business Development and Sales Research target markets and identify high-priority, qualified sales leads. Arrange and attend new-business appointments, supporting other business development executives where required. Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities to support the annual new-sales target. Engage with key decision-makers to identify emerging opportunities and understand their commercial requirements. Develop tailored proposals, quotations, tender submissions and value-added solutions. Build effective relationships with prospective and existing clients by developing a clear understanding of their businesses, priorities and challenges. Network effectively through face-to-face events and digital platforms, including LinkedIn. Represent the company, its services and its values positively and professionally at all times. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within Salesforce, Outreach and other relevant systems. Handle customer and prospect data in accordance with applicable data-protection requirements. Maintain an accurate database of leads, opportunities, appointments and proposals. Identify renewal opportunities and gather the information required to support an efficient renewal process.
