Job Title : Site Manager
Location: Stoke-On-Trent
Due to business growth, Thorn Baker\’s award-winning client is looking for a Site Manager to join their Major Works team. As a family business with nearly 30 years\’ experience under their belts, their vision is to develop a business at the cutting edge of construction, while developing their people\’s skills support a long-term career. Now one of the UK\’s leading regional contractors, they deliver a range of public and private sector projects from £250k up to £30 million across a number of fields including education, healthcare, residential and leisure.

Your Responsibilities

• Ensure the correct processes are in place and are being implemented to achieve project completion within cost and time parameters, to the required quality standards, striving for zero defects.
• Ensure that company health, safety & environmental policies and procedures are strictly adhered to.
• Ensure that all work undertaken on site complies with the current construction issue drawings, specifications, contract documents and building regulations etc.
• Manage on-site subcontractors through leading project-based meetings and ensuring subcontractors are hitting targets.
• Manage the relationship with the client to the best effect.
• Ensure cost effective production in line with budgets by ensuring that the work is undertaken is in full accordance with the cost. provision allocated.
• Provide strong and visible leadership and demonstrate through your own positive actions your commitment to the company values and ethics.

Required Skills

• Enthusiasm and determination, drive for results
• Demonstrated experience as a Site Manager for construction projects up between E1m and up to £25 million in value
• Ability to be based on site in Birmingham
• Experience as a construction Site Manager within either healthcare, leisure or within refurbishment (residential or commercial) settings, preferably with NHS experience.
• Takes responsibility and is accountable and proactive.
