An award winning interiors company specialising in high end fit-out projects for some prestigious brands are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a results-driven construction professional who thrives on managing multiple projects, leading operational teams, and ensuring exceptional standards of delivery and client satisfaction.
The Role
As Contracts Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of projects from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, profitably, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
You will provide leadership to Project Managers, Site Managers, and delivery teams, while maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple construction and fit out projects simultaneously.
- Lead project teams to deliver programmes safely, on time, and within budget.
- Monitor project performance, costs, risks, and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Maintain strong client relationships and act as a key point of contact.
- Review project profitability and support commercial performance objectives.
- Conduct regular site visits and project reviews.
- Support procurement, programme planning, and project delivery strategies.
- Mentor and develop project management and site management teams.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
About You
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within the fit out sector.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Experience managing multiple projects concurrently.
- Excellent commercial and contractual awareness.
- Strong understanding of health and safety legislation.
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
- Construction-related qualification (HNC, HND, Degree, or equivalent).
- SMSTS qualification.
- Experience delivering high end retail, leisure & residential projects.
- Knowledge of JCT contracts.
