Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team on a high‑profile bank refurbishment project in Cambridge. Over the next two weeks, you’ll be responsible for delivering premium interior and exterior painting finishes to banking halls, offices, and communal areas.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Prepare surfaces by filling, sanding, and priming walls, ceilings, woodwork, and metalwork
Apply high‑quality paint, varnish, and specialist coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment
Mask and protect non‑painted surfaces, fixtures, and fittings to ensure clean lines and no overspray
Carry out minor repairs to surfaces (e.g., patching plaster, sealing cracks) before decoration
Follow project specifications and colour schedules to match brand guidelines
Maintain a clean and orderly work area; remove debris and empty paint containers daily
Work safely at height using ladders and mobile towers, adhering to all health & safety protocols
Coordinate with site supervisors and other trades to minimize downtime and ensure smooth workflow
Requirements
Proven experience in commercial painting, preferably on banking or high‑specification projects
Strong attention to detail and excellent finish quality
Competent in use of brushes, rollers, and spray systems
Own basic painting tools and PPE (brushes, rollers, scraper, safety boots, hi‑vis, etc.)
Reliable, punctual, and able to work extended hours under tight deadlines
Ability to interpret colour schedules and technical specifications
