Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Joiner to join our team on a live heritage restoration project. The role involves specialist joinery tasks including splicing repairs and working with UPVC window frames, requiring precision, attention to detail, and respect for the building\βs character and regulations.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Carrying out splicing repairs on timber frames and window units.
Working on the restoration and replacement of UPVC windows in line with heritage standards.
Repairing, replacing, and fitting door and window components while preserving architectural integrity.
Measuring, cutting, and assembling joinery components using hand and power tools.
Interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in keeping with the style and age of the building.
Maintaining a clean and organised work area and complying with all health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
Proven experience in heritage joinery or restoration projects.
Skilled in splicing techniques and experienced with UPVC window fitting.
Excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail.
CSCS card (required).
Own tools and PPE.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Strong understanding of working on listed or heritage buildings (preferred).
