The role:
- Act as a Firewatcher on site, monitoring all hot works and ensuring work is carried out safely at all times
- Maintain a constant watch for fire hazards during and after hot works operations
- Ensure all safety procedures, permits, and site rules are followed
- Work in accordance with risk assessments and carry out your own where required
- Communicate effectively with site management and operatives to maintain a safe working environment
- Keep work areas clear of hazards and report any issues immediately
- Support site teams with general duties when required by the site agent or manager
About you:
- Must hold a valid ECITB Firewatcher qualification/card
- Must be able to provide two relevant commercial references
- Strong awareness of health and safety on site
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Reliable, vigilant, and able to always follow site procedures
