Job Summary: The Assistant Site Manager supports the Site Manager in the daily supervision and management of new build housing projects. The role involves ensuring that construction activities are carried out efficiently, safely, and to the required quality standards, within budget and time constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning, organising, and controlling site operations to ensure project milestones and deadlines are met
  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and site operatives to maintain productivity and quality standards
  • Monitor health and safety compliance on site, ensuring all activities adhere to statutory regulations and company policies
  • Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, site diaries, and progress updates
  • Support the Site Manager in managing resources, materials, and equipment to optimise site performance
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and consultants to facilitate effective communication and resolve any issues promptly
  • Contribute to risk assessments and method statements to maintain a safe working environment
  • Ensure quality control procedures are followed and completed inspections meet project specifications
